This car rips with this Jackal tune. Before them I was running 3.4 0-60 on apr and the Jackal tune brought me down to a 3.1 0-60 (before the upgraded inlets). I’m excited to see what this car will do on some rs (or bigger 🤓) turbos. Would 100% recommend jackal for any 4.0t audi or any audi in general!
Car has been tuned for a couple of months now. Added trans mount and rear diff bushing. Haven't had decent weather to get a solid launch, yet. Dragy is on damp pavement with touring tires. Totally at home cruising at 80 on the highway or spinning all 4 from a dig. I ran an E30 blend a few times and everything was better, except gas mileage. Oh well. Wife doesn't like driving in Dynamic / S, which means it works. Moves just as fast as my DPE40 B8 S4 without any of the violence. Turn on your speed warning...
Want more power and don't want to spend too much? Get Jackal. I've been eyeing Jackal for about a year and finally decided to get a tune after my warranty ended. I've only been tuned for about 2 months so we'll have to see how reliable it is down the road but so far I have nothing bad to say about it. Been pretty good so far. Definitely feel more power along with smoother shifts. RPM raised to 7k. No more cold starts. Jerkiness from 1st and 2nd gear is nearly gone. I still feel it here and there but not like before. I think top end is where it shines. It pulls! I'm only stage 1 and not looking to go any higher. Did a speed run with a random RS3 on the highway and it was not gaining on me at all. For a 4400lbs car this shit moves!
Just fitted my RS turbos, mapped car to stage 3, done about 20 miles and it feels great, super linear power with no flat spots, so far very impressed, would recommend
I purchased my car with 69k miles, and it drove like a dream except for some clunky shifts every now and then, but absolutely nothing I couldn't live with. Especially coming from an E71 X6M (JB4) money pit. The car is bone stock except for the resonator and muffler delete. The tune was done at 76k miles, and the ride has improved tremendously. Keep in mind the ride has always been great. No more cold start, no more clunky shifts, improved throttle response and shifting at all RPMs and gears, and the car is even more quiet, which is a good thing since my car sounded a bit obnoxious pre-tune. I did plugs and a trans service before I did the tune, and I would recommend these services be completed before the tune if they are due. My best advice is if you are on the fence, just do it. If you aren't on the fence, just do it. Just do it!!!!!
